Here at Myrtle Beach Haven, "a United Way Community Partner", we are committed to serving the needs of those less fortunate. Myrtle Beach Haven provides lodging and food for those in need of temporary shelter. We alone provide a much needed service ~
To date, there is no other agency on the Grand Strand (Horry/Georgetown counties) that can provide shelter to families. One agency houses single men and women and is geared more to over-night stays. Another provides temporary shelter for abused women and children (boys only to age 12). Myrtle Beach Haven is unique because we accept individuals as well as families (fathers, mothers and children).
Our objective is to house 40 - 50 persons per day, depending on the mix of men, women and children. We have twenty (20) beds in the Single Moms-Kids Dorms, six (6) beds in the Men's Dorm, six (6) beds in the Women's Dorm, two (2) beds in the Monitors Dorm, four (4) cribs for Nursery age children and we can accommodate up to twelve (12) residents in our Family Rooms.
Whatever circumstances you may be facing; Myrtle Beach Haven is a supportive community agency with a wealth of opportunities for personal growth through the support of private donations from individuals as well as many local churches and businesses..
We aspire to strengthen each person's confidence and encourage personal growth via individual guidance and resources available within our local community.
